Entry #8

Hundred Terrariums

10th November 2018

Mass production of terrariums had started last week. Today, the aim was to finish up all 100 terrariums that we had planned for the TGIF Bazaar next weekend. Last week, all of us had finished about 43 terrariums so today we had to finish up 57 terrariums. During last week's session, my team felt that the succulents from last week's delivery did not suit some of the themes that we had. Thus, I changed the succulents for this week's delivery from Pick-A-Plant.

The delivery of succulents was supposed to arrive at Cheryl's house yesterday but did not arrive and nobody from Pick-A-Plant had contacted me regarding it as well. Last night, when I contacted Mr Woon from Pick-A-Plant regarding it, he said that the delivery truck had broken down and he himself was not aware of it. I arranged with him such that I would pick the plants up from the nursery myself this morning. When I went down to acquire the plants this morning, Pick-A-Plant gave me an additional 10 free succulents as a form of apology. With all the succulents, I took a Grab down to Cleo's place where we had planned to do the terrarium production.

Once I arrived at Cleo's house, all of us started on the production of terrariums. Within no time, my group and I completed 20 terrariums each for 4 out of 5 themes that we had planned. With that. we had 20 more terrariums to do to complete 100 terrariums. The final theme we had to do was the "Home with Garden" theme. However, as the theme was similar to another theme, we decided that we not go for that theme. Instead for the remaining 20 terrariums, we decided that we would random themes and designs for each one of the terrariums.

For me, personally, I felt that reproducing terrariums with a fixed theme was a lot easier and faster to do. It was really hard for me to come up with a design out of the blue. In the end, I did manage to do a few terrariums with random designs. The figurines that we had bought from online helped a lot for the inspiration to design the terrariums.

We stayed all the way till late night to complete the production of terrariums. In the end, we managed to complete all 100 terrariums!!!
