Entry #6

Getting the Stage

22nd October 2018

All of us had agreed that we would start our first sales on the month of November as it would be a good time to test the market and see how we can improve ourselves. Through the experience of the November sales, we would also be prepared for the Christmas sales in December where we plan to score our highest amount of sales. Cheryl had found out earlier that there was a TGIF Bazaar happening in White Sands on the 17th and 18th November and our group has been eyeing on getting a booth there for quite sometime. Once we had finalised on our terrarium designs, we decided to go for the bazaar. It was my job to book a booth there.

The booking fee for the 17th and 18th November weekends was $90 and registration had to be done online. During the online registration for the booth, I realised that the bazaar was aimed at holding booths that sold products that can be given as gifts. Our terrariums would be the perfect products to be given as a gifts to people. Images of our products had to uploaded in the registration site and a product curation was done. The product curation was successful and once bank transferred to booking fee, the booth was ours!

The booth only comes with a table, 2 chairs and a shared power point. Only 2 merchants would be allowed to be in the booth at a time. Thus, all of us decided that we would take turns to man the booth. The operating hours for the booth are as such:

  • Saturday: 11am to 10pm
  • Sunday: 10am to 9pm

This is the layout of the event:

Our booth would be any one of the booths from T1 to T28. The information on which booth we will be assigned to will be conveyed to me 3 days before the event.

I believe that this bazaar would be a good exposure for us and it would definitely be a good first step for Frond!

Let's hope for the best. This is Shiju, signing out!
