Entry #20

Future of Frond

8th March 2019

Our team felt that to sustain our business in future, we would have to focus more towards doing terrarium making workshops. By doing workshops, we would be cutting down on manpower and time that would be required to prepare ready made terrariums needed for pop-up events. As we are students, time is indeed precious to us. After participating in our first workshop at East Coast Park, we were confident of conducting workshops in future.

After hearing the feedback from our mentors last month, we decided to make use of online platforms to promote our workshops to a wider range of people. Through much group discussions, we fixed upon trying out for online platforms such as Funzing and LHOKO. Cheryl and Cleo worked on creating proposal pitch decks for Funzing and LHOKO respectively. Through the proposal pitch decks, they would be able to learn more about us and what we have to offer through our workshops.

Once the proposal pitch decks were done, I crafted out the respective emails, attached the proposal pitch decks in the emails and sent them out to Funzing and LHOKO as such:

After a few days, we managed to receive a reply from the Account Manager at LHOKO.

I was glad that we received a reply from one of the online platforms and that they were interested in letting us be a host in their platform. Currently we do not have a proper venue to hold our workshops. However, judging from the reply, I feel that there may be hope to discuss with LHOKO regarding this issue and to progress from there.

Much has to be discussed and prepared before we could actually host workshops through LHOKO's platform. As of now, Frond's future is looking bright!

With that, this is Shiju, signing out!
