To begin with, I have made lots of online purchases and done online transaction before. However, all the online portals were in English and were simple to understand in terms of the procedures and processes. However, Taobao seemed to be an unique online world for me to comprehend in the aspect of e-commerce purchase platforms.

Mainly due to the language barrier where everything was in Chinese and even the translation icon did not seem to be able to help much in the translation process. Next, all our figurines and other resources were bought from there as it was the cheapest in comparison to other online platforms. Although for our business, it reflected good in the financial aspect, It was hard for me to help in the sourcing and ordering of the items due to the language barrier.

After a few attempts of trying to use the translator, I realized that the effort was futile. I raised it up to my group mates and some of them said they would handle it and told me that once all the orders were up, we could share the pictures of the figurines and materials bought. In the end, after all the products were placed in the cart by other team members who knew their way around the platform. Shun kai and myself had to settle the payment aspect.

On this day, Shun Kai shared with me most of the items that were being purchased and also took into consideration my opinions . Upon viewing the items and finalizing it for purchase, SK informed me that there would be two delivery charges which were local and international. With that information, the payment was made through the OCBC account and I recorded it in the excel sheet as expense incurred.

As I have made multiple online payments and ordering, I always felt that the items or materials bought online are very difficult to gauge in terms of size or measurement.

So how did the items turnout to be ? Did we get what we wanted?
