Chapter 21

Presentation Day :

We discussed as a team and decided to bring over the necessary materials to the halls so that we could save on the transportation cost. I arranged the necessary materials for our booth set up and brought over the tool kits, colored sand,figurines and miscellaneous materials for the set up a day earlier.

On day before the PRESENTATION DAY ,we were preparing running through the necessary materials needed and discussed on how we were going to present our assigned parts. On this day, I brought the other materials such as the glasses, terrariums and papers bags for the showcase display.

We managed to make 2 sales from the display on the presentation day and received positive comments from the peers and viewers who appreciated our products and the way it was displayed.

Journey Thoughts:

After all the presentations and explanations of our business venture, reviewing back , I personally felt that every step in this business opened up to more avenues in terms of problems or expansion lines. However, the factor that really played a vital role was the way we handled those situations and decisions we made as a team. We always had quality discussion for the the ideas,problems,strategies and solutions . This discussions helped us move forward in our business and also reach out to possible avenues to gain a larger customer base.

We have struggled at various junctions in the business but always resorted to research and networks to ensure that the next step we were taking was well assessed to our best ability and we aimed to have the best solution to serve for both current and long term.

Lastly, I am glad to say that our efforts and keeping an open mindset to ensure that every opportunity we ceased would lead to getting more awareness of our product in the market and ensured that the business flow line smooth throughout. Our current aim is to step into online expansion through platforms such as Funzing and Lhoko where we have already made an effort by reaching out to them.


It started off as an idea of to work around with plants which grew to terrarium and DIY concepts. My personal take from this business venture is that, regardless how great an idea can be generated . It is important to have the ability to channel the efforts towards the necessary directions and take in criticism at all times for the business to reach to greater heights. In addition, constant updating of the business in terms of service or product is a necessary factor to retaining customers and reeling in more.

I would like to say that i am really glad to have the opportunity to work with Shun kai, Cheryl,Jiaxin,Shiju and Cleo.We managed every situations to our best ability and ensured that all our voices were heard before making any final decision. It was really good to have a realistic, approachable,supportive and hard working team members.

With that, I would also take this opportunity to thank our mentors, Mr Roderick, Mr Adrian and Ms. Lilli for observing and advising us on this business venture journey.
