Ram Entry #10

"Chapter 10"

8th December 2018

5th December

EXAMS JUST FINISHED ON THE 4TH DECEMBER... AND IT FELT LIKE I HAD TIME TO GET BACK TO MY BUSINESS....

It was the SUCCULENT SELECTION DAY.... I was provided clear instructions and process flow by Shiju on how the plant selection process worked. Mr Woon sent me the pictures of the plants through whatsapp and I forwarded it to the group chat where the selection discussion began. From there, Jia Xin started circling the succulent plants and I was deciding on the cactus types. We did take into consideration to avoid taking the plants that we had difficulty in potting into the terrariums. The process was faster than I anticipated in the aspect of choosing the plants and asking Mr Woon to keep them in hold.

8th December

Today was Recce and Supplies purchasing day and both Cheryl & I dropped by at OCBC Centre as our first pit stop. To give an insight of how we got the OCBC event , Shiju got acquainted to Mr Satya another booth vendor who gave us contact to Mr Alvin, the person in-charge in OCBC. Thus, Shiju passed us Mr Alvin contact and we notified him about our recce to OCBC Centre .

When we reached the OCBC Centre, we contacted Mr Alvin and I felt that the sales would be good because of the crowd in the main building. He guided us to the Recreation Club at the basement where we were shown our location for the booths and updated us that there were other vendors who would be occupying the same space. Thus, he told us we could choose our preferred booth space for the event day and also made arrangement for us to store our items for one night. With that , we concluded our recce and decided to get the necessary supplies.

We went to Pick A Plant , to restock our plants back to 100 for the upcoming Christmas Sale. While we were there, we noticed that certain plants that we picked in the whatsapp had looked pretty bad, thus we made 1 for 1 exchange on the spot. Once we decided on the plants, we took them with us as I had a car where we could place them in the boot.

Our next stop was to fill our hungry stomachs and also purchase glassware. While we were looking for them, we came across storage containers which we felt that we needed for our transportation purposes. This allowed us to have a permanent place to store our terrariums and easily lift it to the car or other areas when the need arises.
