Entry #5

Today marks our R&D of our product. We split up and went to get different materials such as gravel, sand, plant, glassware etc, before meeting up at Cheryl's house.It was up to our creativity to make the terrariums.

It was so difficult to remove the soil from the plants, some plants had stronger roots and we can afford to be a little rough with it. Some pots had multiple plants with roots tangled up, and their roots were so fragile!! Makes me wonder how plants survive the dinosaur period.

Initially, I wanted to design oasis and waterfall. I even brought a glue gun to stick the blue sand to small rocks, but it was not working and much time was wasted on it. I only managed to complete a simple oasis which did is terrible. I was right to stick with engineering calculations than design.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure that there is someone out there who thinks this is beautiful.
