Entry #11

Gardeners' Day

15th December 2018

Today was a group recee to Gardeners' Day. Our main aim was to check out the crowd and see if we can have any opportunity to sell our product there. We also wanted to find out what kind of booths are being set up there. This could give us some insights on the things plant lovers might be looking out for, and areas of improvement we can do for our business.

Firstly, most of the plants sold there are succulents and air plants. Immediately, it was a redlight for us to get a booth here to sell our products here. Most people selling here are enthusiasts who do not bulk order, instead they are here to share knowledge with people. We also came across people who sold interesting pot designs which gave us an idea that we can expand into.

There was also a particular product which is called nelsol soil, which acts like the plasticine and no holding medium is needed. We bought 2 packets to try out and see if it is a possible thing that we can do.

It was indeed an eye opener to see so many possibilities that we can easily explore. As a result, we decided to do hand-painted pots and test out how receptive are customers to it.
