Entry #21
Conclusion
14th March 2019
It has been an interesting journey since the start of our business. Being in the operations team, the initial stages were hard in terms of sourcing for the right suppliers for our materials. Apart from that, we also had so much difficulties in producing the terrariums and getting our designs right at the start as well. However, the process had become easier as time went by.
I was mainly in charge of the events planning and I had learned quite a lot about choosing the right events and the preparations needed for them. Always doing a survey of the place before the event and choosing good booth locations for the event were also key factors that I have learned in the journey. To add to that, being in good contact with event organisers was also beneficial as they would even introduce us to good event deals and discounts for booths.
Events that Frond has participated in
Since the seed stage, I felt that Frond has grown so much over the couple of months. From just selling ready-made terrariums, the business has ventured to not only produce new products like hand-painted terracotta pots but also tried out new services like allowing customers to colour and design their very own terrariums and also to do terrarium making workshops. We also forayed into doing online terrarium sales and DIY kit sales through Carousell in which Ram and I had to do most of the deliveries. I am truly proud of what the business has achieved thus far and hope that it grows further in future.
Personally, I feel that nothing could have been accomplished if it were not for my very talented and hardworking team members. I would like to thank them for being very understanding, supportive and encouraging. I would also love to thank our mentors, Mr Roderick, Mr Adrian and Ms. Lilli for guiding us during our journey as well.
With that, for the final time, this is Shiju, signing out!
