Entry #19
Back at Town
25th February 2019
After garnering good sales last month, we decided to participate in MOX Parade held at SOTA this month as well. We also brought back the DIY terrarium concept for this event as the concept was quite well received last month. Apart from that, we decided to do the potting of the plants and designing of the ready made terrariums on the spot as we were all busy with school. We also brought in the hand painted terracotta pots we had and we decided to do potting service in which customers can choose the plant that they want we would plant it in to the pot that they like. Our team also managed to secure the same booth location as the month before. The event was held from 22nd to 24th February and I helped out to man the booth on the second day of the event together with Shun Kai.
The day was really hot and as our booth was in the outdoors, many were more interested to head towards shelter rather than browsing at our merchandise. Due to that, our sales suffered during the afternoon. As the weather started to cool down in the evening, we managed to acquire customers who were interested in designing their own terrariums and to purchase our ready made terrariums. The potting of plants service into the hand-painted terracotta pots was also well received. Shun Kai and I tried our very best to gain more customers to make up for the loss of sales in the afternoon.
Overall, the sales for the day was not that well. However, I felt that we did manage leave a good impression among the customers that we had on the day. A lady customer we had even took down our details as she was interested in contacting us again to conduct a terrarium workshop in her condominium. By leaving a good impression in the customers we had, I believe that our brand name would definitely be promoted through word of mouth. I hope that more opportunities would be opened up for Frond in future.
With that, this is Shiju, signing off!
