Ram Entry #5

This week was HECTIC!!! Quizzes, reports,presentations and assignments were filled this week.

This week our scheduled plan was R&D.

Today we had to finalize our designs that our team would be mass producing .

We decided to purchase the necessary materials in the morning and gather back at Cheryl's place to make terrariums. Shiju and myself went to Hua Hng Trading Company at Khatib to purchase succulent plants, glass pots, soil and colorful sand. The main reason for choosing Hua Hng Trading Company was due to the cheaper price of soil and colorful sand.

Upon reaching the place, we handpicked 15 succulents with the thought of concepts and designs discussed by our group. After, we bought all the necessary materials and collected the receipt, we transported all of it to Cheryl's place to begin the making process.

We were to create a landscape of our choice and make it eye pleasing as much as possible. Based on my imagination and skills,I came up with 2 design for the terrarium .

My first design was a beach concept for which I ensured that I had a proper slope as my base layer using the soil. I used the hens and chicks (sempervivum tectorum) as the main plant and the normal sand and blue sandstone to make the beach area and water zone in the design. To make the design of the beach more prominent and eye capturing, I used the star fish and small pebbles as steps leading up in the slop design.

Lastly, with the mini alphabet beads, I made my name to make it more personalized .

The second design was a green landscape with a pathway concept .This concept was created by me with the thought of allowing one to think of the nature when looking at it. I executed the same step in terms of soil and sand layer and added fence with a parrot sitting on it.

I did lean towards the fairy tail concept which was not possible in the end. I renamed my idea as the landscape for " The Boy Who Cried Wolf".

At the end of all the designs, our team decided voting their personal preferences in which my designs were also one of them.

With all that, we had a discussion on making the online order for both packaging and figurines. As i was the one handling the bank A/C, we decided that once the orders were ready , Shun Kai and myself would place the orders.

The next chapter would be on the order placement and banking from my side...!!!! WIth that stay tuned!!
