Our group decided to visit the Pick a Plant nursery with the mindset of buying an air plant and a succulent to gain the experience of growing them. The main rationale for this idea was to observe the plants growth in the practical aspect and compare whether the theoretical knowledge and hearsay information from others were in sync.

Shiju, Jiaxin and myself decided to share the grab ride and thus we split the grab cost among the three of us . On the way to the nursery ,we learnt that the nursery was deep inside a secluded region, with no public transport and we ended up taking a long walk . Upon reaching, we realized although Cheryl and Shun Kai took grab earlier than us were dropped off at another spot thus leaving to us wait for them to walk over to the Pick A Plant nursery.

As the three of us reached the destination first we decided to recce the plants available. I was able to make some quality conversation with a plant caretaker who was sorting out the new plants that were brought into the nursery into their designated compartments. He explained to me on the fact that air plants and succulents were least required to be taken care and also how the growth can be monitored. Along with that, he advised not spray on the leaves of the succulents directly, instead to place a cup or a tray filled with water at the base of the plant for the roots to absorb.

A while later ,Shun Kai and Cheryl joined us, we started deciding on the plants we were gonna purchase and honestly some price of the air plants were considered too expensive from our perspectives. We managed to choose our preferred plants and I got myself an Ionantha Airplant and Hens and chicken (sempervivum tectorum).

When all of us picked our choice of plants, we decided to monitor and keep track of the growth of the plants under our care. As we proceeded for payment we noticed a small group of 4 teenagers picking out specific plants for and putting them into a box. At the counter, we clarified if they have promotions for bulk purchases and the choice of plants available in such cases. We responded with a quoted number of 100 at $1.20 each plant in the event of bulk purchase and also that we had the liberty to handpick the plants of our choice.

With that information, we left the place in the aim to look out for other nursery at the same time revert back to Pick A Plant if need be in bulks for the future our business!!..
