Ram Entry #15

Preparation Phase:

Our group decided to replace the bad conditioned plants with leftover plants. In addition, we improvised the existing designs based on the popular terrariums that we bought.

The redesigning applied to both terrariums and terracotta. Our team planned to cater the customers with more variety in our products to attract and allow them to have more options in the choosing process.

As for Katong Square, it was a two-day event and on both the days, my assigned role was to assist in the transportation and arrangement of the booth.

As the terrariums and other necessary materials were at my house, Shiju had to drive to my place and from there we had to load up and bring it over to the event location.

On both days, Shiju arrived at my house and we loaded up the box of terrariums and other materials.

From there Shiju drove to the location and I started unpacking and working on the arrangement. After the arrangement was complete, the booth was managed by Cheryl and Jia xin for the first day and Shun Kai and Cleo for the second day.

Likewise for both days, at closing hours Shiju and myself came to retrieve the items and transport back to my place.

After the group discussion regarding the sales, I personally felt that Katong Square's crowd was more of tourists than locals . This made me realize that our products major buying power were locals.During the arrangement, some tourists did approach us with an intention of possibly buying but ended up not purchasing as they felt that such products would not be able to survive or they could not be given proper attention because they were travelling.
