Entry #18

Today we went to Katong Square! After the site recce we did in late December, we felt prepared for the crowd but we definitely weren't expecting the heat, nor the kind of customers we would be getting. A lot of them seemed to be in a rush, despite there not being anything to do or anywhere to go in the vicinity, and those who had time to kill didn't really want to be interacted with and preferred staring and watching us work.

I continued to repaint some of the terracotta pots, and made a few that were Katong/Peranakan themed, which drew a lot of positive feedback and many people who walked by were commenting that they would love to have something that that at home, but again, they were rushing and so we didn't have a lot of sales for our terracotta pots :(
