Entry #2

After class today we went to visit an air plant supplier, Pick-A-Plant.

Getting there was a problem itself as Shun Kai and I got dropped off at another nearby plant nursery and had to navigate our way there which took a long long time as we seemed to venture deeper into what looked like a jungle..

When we finally met up with the others at the location itself, I had to admit that I was blown away by the sheer amount of plants that they had! That was until I looked at the price of the first item I picked up and realized that one of it costs a price of $33!! Because it was known for being a place with a wide selection and supposedly having an affordable range, I was surprised at the difference between the prices being shown compared to what was mentioned online. For a good 5 minutes, I was walking around that lane of plants thinking 'we are dead if these are the prices... this can't be it..'.

Finally when I was ready to call it a day, Ram and Shun Kai called us over to a range of plants that were within the $3 range. To be very honest, while I was staring at all the different plants I was slightly worried because the plants itself were mostly green and it limited our design options. Furthermore, with the number of each species that the supplier had then, it seemed that they won't have enough to allow us to mass produce our terrariums using the same plants.

We also saw a row of succulents and decided to buy a mix of succulents and air plants to try growing it at home since none of us has prior experience. When I brought it back to my hall, I lined it up along my window and thought that it looked really pretty together
